Our goal is to provide you with a healthy bird that will bring joy for years to come. We do guarantee all birds to be free of viral disease or congenital hatch defect. All birds sold from our aviary come with a 5 - day period of guarantee as to the health status for the buyer.
Parrots for sale ltd agrees to replace the bird or give a full refund on the purchase price of the bird if it is proven to not be healthy following the sale. Due to conditions that will be beyond our control, we cannot guarantee the birds beyond this 5 - day period.
Seller does not consider a mild growth of gram negative bacteria to be abnormal but recognizes this as normal and expected due to stress (especially if flying). As a buyer, we encourage you to have the bird examined at the buyer’s expense by an avian veterinarian within 5 days from the time of delivery to verify the health of the bird (a well-bird exam) and to uphold the health guarantee as stated here.
In the event that the buyer fails to have the bird referenced below examined by an avian veterinarian within 5 days of delivery, fails to notify seller immediately of changes in health within the 5 day period or fails to submit the deceased bird’s body for necropsy, then the buyer understands and agrees that the sale is one of “as is” condition. The original band (if stated below) must be intact and on the bird sold to buyer. Removal of the band revokes any expressed or implied guarantee. In the event that the purchased bird would die within the 5 day-period, buyer must immediately refrigerate(not freeze) the bird’s body in a sealed plastic bag and deliver the body within 24 hours to a qualified avian veterinarian for necropsy to determine the cause of death. We are not responsible for veterinary charges after birds leave our aviary.
If, within one year of the date of purchase, examination by an avian veterinarian indicates that your bird has developed serious problems, or died, because of a congenital or hereditary defect, you are guaranteed a full refund, or if available, a replacement bird. An avian veterinarian must verify this condition.
Parrots for sale ltd guarantees that, at the time of purchase, the bird(s) being purchased are in good health…. Because only an AVIAN VETERINARIAN can detect some health conditions, We encourage you to have the bird(s) examined by an CERTIFIED AVIAN VETERINARIAN of your choice within three days (72 hours) from purchase at your expense. (sometimes the vets book ahead far in advance, so we recommend scheduling your appointment before committing to a date to pick up your bird if you plan on exercising this warranty)
If your AVIAN VETERINARIAN determines the bird(s) to have a major health problem, please return the bird(s), along with the veterinarian’s statement to Eddie’s Aviary. ANY LABORATORY TESTS THE VET MAY DO MUST BE PERFORMED WITHIN THE (72 HOUR) PERIOD FOR THE BIRD(S) TO BE COVERED UNDER THIS GUARANTEE. We understand that the results of these tests may not be available until after the (72 hour) period. But as long as the tests have been performed within the (72 hour) window, the guarantee will be honored.

As with any living animal, fear, loss of appetite, lack of sleep, chilling, heat prostration and other forms of stress can make a bird susceptible to illness. Which can potentially cause diarrhea, respiratory infection, and a variety of other illnesses. EXPOSURE TO OTHER BIRDS OR CIGARETTE SMOKE AND OTHER TOXINS CAN RAPIDLY DETERIORATE A BIRDS HEALTH. That is why the guarantee only extends to (72 hours.)
IF YOU FAIL TO, OR CHOSE NOT TO, TAKE YOUR BIRD(S) FOR A “WELL BIRD EXAM” BY AN ACCREDITED AVIAN VET WITHIN (72 HOURS) OF PURCHASE, THEN THIS GUARANTEE IS NULL AND VOID…

WEANING A BABY BIRD
A weaned bird is one who can fill his/her own crop for a minimum of two weeks and maintain a reasonable weight prior to going to its new home. Because it is easier to sell an unweaned baby than a weaned baby, we charge extra to wean a baby bird. Price for weaning a baby bird depends on what type of bird it is or how old a baby is. Please contact us for pricing.
